To view .tef files, you must install the software rather than opening files directly in your web browser.
Download: Visit TablEdit and navigate to the free TEFview section (do not download the paid TablEdit installer). Installation:
Windows: Run the .exe installer. It defaults to the C:\Program Files (x86)\TablEdit folder.
Mac: Open the .dmg file and drag the TEFview app into your Applications folder.
Mobile: Free mobile variants (TEFview or TEFpad Lite) are available on iOS and Android marketplaces.
Fixing Associations: If your computer attempts to open .tef files as scrambled text, right-click the file, choose Open With…, select TEFview, and check the box to “Always use this app”.
